Engagement Photography General Information
Engagement sessions a la carte is $525.
Engagements are taken at your chosen location.
We normally shoot engagement photos during the week due to our weekends being reserved and booked for wedding sessions.
We dedicate an entire afternoon to your engagement shoot. It is a great opportunity for us to hang out while getting to know one another better. We also explore different areas to find a great look with spectacular backdrops in order to create some beautiful images.
You are welcome to bring a prop or two, like a date sign, etc. Let us know if you have a favorite place or even have things that are special to the two of you. We will work together beforehand to decide on the type of images you prefer and select a location based on your likes.
The selection and edit process begins right after your shoot. Our staff will hand edit a wide selection of your images and deliver them to you in an online gallery. All of these images are yours to keep and cherish forever. Typical turn around time for an engagement session is a few weeks, depending on the time of year.
What do I need to bring with me to a shoot?
You really don’t need to bring anything to your engagement shoot unless you have a specific prop like a date board.
We don't know where to take our engagement photos, any suggestions?
We will work with you before your shoot and get a feel for the type of images you are drawn to. This will help us suggest areas or places that offer that look. Through our conversation we will certainly find a great place for your session if you don’t have a place in mind already. We have lots of locations and different areas we shoot at.
How many outfits are we allowed to bring?
We dedicate an entire afternoon to engagement sessions, so you can bring multiple outfits if you would like. We don’t recommend a lot though. The more you change, the more it interrupts the groove you start to feel while shooting. Also keep in mind if your chosen location will have a place to actually change outfits. Most clients stay in the same outfit or make one clothing change through the course of the session.
How long does an engagement session normally take?
Typical sessions run 1-3 hours. The entire afternoon is dedicated to your shoot. Some only like to shoot for an hour or so, while others like to stay longer. It is your call when you feel we have captured enough beautiful images of the two of you.
How many photos are we given?
We typically deliver between 100-150 hand edited color images from each session. Each of these color images will also be delivered in BW as well.
How long does it take before we receive our images?
Engagement images are typically turned around in a few weeks depending on the time of the year.
Are the images edited for us?
Yes, each image is hand edited by our edit staff before delivery. We take great pride in our work and only want to deliver beautiful images to each and every client.
