All the single ladies!

During the wedding reception, the bride has all of her “single ladies” (any lady that isn’t married yet), and tosses her bouquet for one lucky girl to catch. This symbolizes who is to get married next.

Recently I attended a friends wedding and during her bouquet toss, a bridesmaid dove into the crowd of girls while pushing away anyone that got in her way. The next thing you know, I saw heels flying off of feet and girls going down to the ground. The bridesmaid that had pushed her way through the crowd stood up amongst the pile of confused women with the bouquet in hand.

I’m sure we’ve all heard of how dangerous these bouquet tosses can get but that doesn’t diminish the fun in the tradition. It is fun to be in the crowd of women as they scramble to get the bouquet and even funnier to watch!
